personality!:
Josh is best described as larger than life. With a pretty big ego and presence with it, he really dominates wherever he goes. He is usually the first one up in arms if a friend gets messed with. He’ll fight for small reasons and not stop until either him or another is on the ground knocked out. He has scars, both emotional and physical, to show of his history of physical violence.
But, when he isn’t fighting over something, Josh is very relaxed and social. He’ll break the ice in a room and make everyone feel involved by the end of the night. He’s been known to hook up with many girls in one night when he feels like it, but usually you can find him outside puffing away on either a blunt or cigar, making conversation with anyone who gives it.
This is only when he is out with friends though. With family or on the field, he works diligently and responsibly, carrying out whatever job is given to him. He is known to be very respectful around women and is considered a gentleman if you see him at the right time. But this is due to the way he was raised by has father. He was told that if he ever wanted to be accepted by his family he would have to be a true Southern Gentleman.

overall history!:
Josh was born to Roy and Janet Stevenson at Fairfield General Hospital, Texas. His brother was still young at the time, and he knew that he wasn’t going to be the only one any more. However, instead of being jealous, like most two year olds would act, James embraced his brother. This was the start of their close relationship.
Growing up Josh first threw a football at age 6 and hadn’t put a ball down since then. At 10 he found out he was fast when he beat his brother in a race, and started playing the Wide Receiver since then. All throughout his childhood, his memories are laced with tales of football and the camaraderie of the teams he was on.
However, that isn’t the only thing he remembers. Ever since he could walk, he was helping around his house. His mom was a housewife and his dad a farmer. His father taught him the values of good work ethics, morality, and gentlemanly conduct. Little did he know how much it would affect his life afterward.
In 2000, his family moved to Hope due his father selling his farm as the area began to grow less and less crop. In their move they bought a new farm and began to grow again. Josh was able to fit in easily due to him playing football. He quickly grew a tight knit group of friends which would last him up to and including High School.
The next year, 9/11 shocked his family. His brother, who had just turned 18, decided to sign up with the Army. He was deployed to Afghanistan, and signed up to serve his country for 6 years. In this time, Josh was worried about his brother during this time but never let it show, hiding his worry with anger and egotism. Due to the long amount of time he was like this, he developed these characteristics into his general personality.
In March of 2007, a week away from when he was going to be sent him, Corporal James Stevenson went on a regularly scheduled patrol with his platoon. They stopped at a local village where there was a recent fire fight to help restore relations. As a peace offering, they offered food and medical supplies. However, when one woman “needed help” getting the supplies to her hut, James volunteered. When he arrived inside, he was shot in the face 4 times with an AK-47. His platoon quickly reacted and killed an additional 7 terrorists in the village; however it was too late for James. His funeral was held stateside in their hometown.
This changed Josh’s life in a big way as he was expected him home soon, but never in a casket. He began to straighten out things in his life, and started to make goals. He pledged his life to his brother’s memory for better or worse, and hopes that in the long run James will look down and be happy about Josh’s decisions.

Josh woke up to the sound of his alarm’s penetration buzzer. Without opening his eyes he willed his body over and slammed down the off button on his alarm. Why can’t it be Saturday he thought as he slowly opened his eyes to the mornings brightness. He let out a deep sigh and started getting ready.
As he started for the shower, he could smell his mom preparing breakfast. He smiled at the familiar smell and continued his way to the bathroom. He turned on the water and as it was warming up, he brushed his teeth and set aside his clothes for the day. He reached in for the water, felt it get warm, and jumped in. After all, he never had clothes in when he slept.
30 minutes later, with his hair fixed into a slight spike, wearing a white t-shirt and his football jacket over it with a pair of old, beat-down jeans and mucked up sneakers as his outfit, he marched into the kitchen. He saw his mom and dad at the table, his mom eating while his dad read the paper with some coffee. He grabbed a bagel, said bye, and then ran out. He was already behind schedule.
Pulling into the school parking lot with 3 minutes left before lockdown, Josh barely was able to grab his own backpack as he bolted from the car, not even realizing what was in it. He slammed the door of his King Ranch, and ran like he never ran before to his history class. He made it just in time as once he stepped foot in class, the bell rang.
Although he felt relieved, others around him swallowed hard when they saw him, some laughing and others worried. He was confused until he took his seat and put down his backpack. Hanging outside the side of his backpack was the upper 1/3 of his bong. He quickly zipped up his back pack, and luckily the teacher hadn’t seen it. This is going to be a long day he thought to himself.
