The sun had just came up, well not so much. Kristin looked out the window of the one and only Starbucks! It was raining. She loved the rain just she also loved the sun. She frowned but then turned back to her book; A Certain Slant of Light. It was about a ghost who could be seen by a mortal, who turned out to be possessed by another Ghost and they fall in love. She loved it. She had a bagel and a coffee sitting in front of her. The Coffee was filled with sugar and now she was just waiting for it to cool down.
It was her first day back in Hope. She had figured that nobody remembered her what so ever. She glanced around the room again. There were hardly anybody in the room at the moment and not many people had strolled by outside on the sidewalk either. She wanted to go to a book store but she didn't know it the town had one. She figured she might have to go to the library and just check out a book instead.
She slowly moved her eyes back to her book. She had just reread the same sentence for the seventh time. She was getting sick of it. She wished she had someone to talk with. Her parents had just died not a week ago and she, her twin sister Kayla and little brother Kevin had all moved to Hope, Kentucky to live with their aunt, uncle and two cousins. Kristin and Kayla shared a room while Kevin shared with their cousin Nicky. Their other cousin, Kennedy got her own room. Kristin and Kennedy never got along. The fight over everything, or so Kennedy says.
Kristin really wished that she had someone to talk with. Kayla, her twin had taken Kevin and Nicky shopping and she didn't know when they would return home. As for her aunt and uncle, they were working while Kennedy was... Kristin had no idea where.
